What is Diwatang Maria?

Diwatang Maria is a local start-up brand that blends science and passion to give Filipinos access to effective, achievable, and sustainable skincare. We offer high-quality and locally made organic soaps that help your skin achieve that healthy glow to which the diwatas are known for.

Our Mission

Diwatang Maria promotes not just beauty, but also healthly skin and women empowerment. These soaps cater to a wide variety of skin types, from dry to sensitive, aiming to bring out the natural beauty in every Filipino/Filipina.

Why and what are we crowdfunding?

The amount of wastes that the Philippines and even across the globe is producing has grown and a big percentage is accounted to single use plastic. 

Diwatang Maria, as a brand that values environmental sustainability, joined the Spark Project crowdfunding to upgrade the organic soap packaging from plastic to an eco-friendly, biodegradable carton box. We also wanted to promote our amazing home grown brand that aims to promote an organic lifestyle with the use of organic and herbal soaps.

We would be offering great rewards to our backers. And for our friends and family abroad, there is also a option to support the cause.

We have Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and Pilipinas packages named after the three island groups of the Philippines and of course Pilipinas is the Tagalog name of our country. Our Luzon and Visayas packages are best for personal and family use, where we will give away  6 to 12 pcs of Diwatang Maria soaps. The Mindanao and Pilipinas packages are for Filipina entrepreneurs who wanted to become our partners and be able to re-sell the Diwatang Maria organic soaps. We offer 36 to 62 soaps of their choice. We're providing tarpaulin and additional freebies that would be useful if they join local bazaars.

Since we are not yet able to ship internationally, what we can offer to our international friends is to be able to buy the "Bahay ni Maria" or "House of Maria" package. Six Diwatang Maria soaps will be donated to Bahay ni Maria, home for the abandoned elderly.

Finally, we wanted to promote our awesome Filipino artists and designers. The new box packaging designed by IT Monsters Production from Zamboanga City.

What's so special with Diwatang Maria soaps?

Diwatang Maria soaps are inspired by the Philippine mountain goddesses.

We have three variants: Diwatang Maria Makiling, Diwatang Maria Sinukuan, and Diwatang Maria Cacao. Each variant is named after a Diwata which resembles the soap  variant the most.

MARIA MAKILING

Recommended For: Normal/Oily Skin
Named after Diwatang Maria Makiling, the protector of Mt. Makiling in Laguna, who is known to be fairest of them all. This soap has Kojic and Papaya as main ingredients. It visibly lightens and corrects discolorations. It also helps control acne breakout both for face and body. Moreover, it is infused with aloevera and coconut oil which keeps the skin moisturized as it undergoes exfoliation.

MARIA SINUKUAN

Recommended for: Dry/Sensitive/Acne-prone skin or combination of all
Named after Diwatang Maria Sinukuan, the protector of Mt. Arayat in Pampanga, who is known to be gentlest of them all. This soap gently cleanses and removes dead skin cells. 
It has combination of anti-oxidant properties of Papaya, Kojic and Glutathione, with mild and moisturizing ingredients, such as Oats and coconut oil. It aids irritation and acne breakouts while at the same time also leaving your skin healthy and glowing.

MARIA CACAO

Recommended for: Dry/Sensitive/Sun-damaged skin or combination of all
Named after Cebu's very own Diwatang Maria Cacao, the protector of Mt. Lantoy who is known for her suppple morena skin. This soap was made to bring the glow out of morena and mestiza beauty. 

It has shea butter, coconut oil, and oats. Aside from the delicious chocolate smell, the soap also helps aid sun burn with aloe vera, making it perfect for summer and in general, our country's temperature.

How to Support?

- The soaps can either be collected during the New Packaging Launch in BGC towards the last week of June (final date, venue, and time will be confirmed)

- Or can be delivered by the selected provider: LBC/ Fast Track / Lala Move during the last week of June. There will be a minimal fee for delivery.
