Sarwodaya is a progressive non-governmental organization based in Nepal, established in 2020 and formally registered in 2023 with a noble mission: to support visually impaired students and professionals. Our dedication lies in advancing quality education and improving access to educational opportunities for this community, alongside providing empowerment and livelihood training.

We are dedicated to advocating for the rights of marginalized groups and ensuring their dignified livelihoods through impactful initiatives. Our efforts focus on fostering educational inclusion for persons with disabilities by offering support, training, and economic opportunities. Through these initiatives, we aim to foster sustainable growth and promote a more inclusive society.

An Empowerment Program for the Visually Impaired 

People with disabilities, particularly those who are visually impaired, face numerous challenges in education, employment, and societal engagement. Yet, with proper training and support, they have the potential to make meaningful contributions across various sectors. Our program is designed to empower visually impaired individuals holistically, offering essential skills training, raising awareness, and facilitating connections to employment opportunities.

The training program comprises four key components tailored to enhance the skills and abilities of visually impaired individuals. Firstly, participants will engage in content writing workshops, practical exercises, and mentorship programs to refine their ability to craft content across various platforms. Following this, hands-on training sessions will focus on developing essential data entry skills vital for administrative roles, utilizing assistive technologies to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Seminars and interactive sessions will provide foundational knowledge in financial management, covering topics such as budgeting, savings, investments, and financial planning. Lastly, workshops dedicated to soft skills development aim to improve interpersonal skills, self-confidence, and overall personality through activities focusing on public speaking, communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving, tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant. Through these comprehensive training components, participants will acquire valuable skills essential for personal and professional growth.

We will host informational sessions and seminars to educate participants about various job opportunities, vocational training programs, and available support services. We will also establish partnerships with employers, organizations, and institutions to streamline job placements, internships, and mentorship opportunities for individuals who have completed our training programs. Through these initiatives, we aim to provide comprehensive support to participants as they navigate their paths towards meaningful employment and professional development.

We will conduct regular assessments of participants' progress, including evaluations, feedback sessions, and performance reviews, to ensure ongoing support and improvement. Additionally, we will monitor placement and retention rates of trained individuals in the job market to evaluate the program's impact and effectiveness. Through diligent monitoring and evaluation, we will continuously strive to enhance the quality and impact of our initiatives, ultimately contributing to the long-term success of our participants.

Our crowdfunding goal is to raise $2000. This funding will enable us to provide training and placement opportunities for 25 students over a 3-month period. We invite contributions starting from $80 to sponsor one student's participation in the program, but any donation amount is welcome. Your support will make a significant difference in empowering visually impaired individuals to pursue education and employment opportunities.

Our budget plan includes detailed allocation for training materials, venue rentals, instructor fees, assistive technologies, transportation, and administrative expenses. To fund these necessities, we're seeking support through crowdfunding from individuals who share our dedication to promoting disability inclusion and empowerment.
