An online advocacy campaign which consists of an informative website and a short story-driven game about Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

We are Loading Star Studio, a team of passionate third-year Multimedia Arts students from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, embarking on our CAPSTONE journey based on our thesis paper, “Media’s Role in Shaping Young Filipino Adults’ Perception of OCD and Why It Matters.”
Our research dives into the current pop culture representation of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). We studied how media such as TV shows, films, and games gradually contributed to its shift into the popular phrase “I’m So OC!” to express being a germaphobe or perfectionist.
Since then, our project isn’t just about research. It is an advocacy to share stories of Filipinos diagnosed with OCD with heart and nuance beyond misconceptions and stereotypes. As the stars symbolize direction, our team fully aspires to foster empathy and awareness about Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder to guide people, especially Filipinos, through interactive and immersive media platforms.

RE:MEMBER is an online advocacy campaign with two main projects that serve to raise awareness and showcase the lived-in experiences of Filipinos diagnosed with OCD.
Our website provides anecdotes by Filipinos through entry-submission digital field notes to share the reality of being diagnosed. Our curated articles also consist of information on the interplay of OCD in pop media culture, Filipino Culture, and its lesser known subtypes.
