PURPOSE OF CROWDFUNDING

SITownhall is an initiative by Benilde HIFI - DOST Technology Business Incubator. It stands as a testament to our collective commitment to empower our fellow La Salle and neighbor HEIs across the Philippines. It serves as a platform where we come together to explore the transformative power of the Design Thinking Framework.

Through this Crowdfunding Campaign, Benilde will be able will be able to extend it's Hub of Innovation for Inclusion to St. Joseph School - La Salle Bacolod. Benilde will be able to visit 1-2 more La Salle Schools here in the Philippines. This will also be an opportunity for us to invite and enable neighbor schools in the area.

Through SITownhall, we embark on a journey of discovery, where real-world problems meet innovative solutions. It's a space where our ideas come to life, and our actions create meaningful change.

ABOUT ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL - LA SALLE BACOLOD

Established in 1954 as Immaculate Conception Free School, later renamed St. Joseph School - La Salle in 2005. This institution in Barrio Obrero, Negros Occidental, Philippines was founded by the La Salle Brothers and YLAC to provide Christian education to the underprivileged. Despite financial challenges leading to the phase-out of the original school in 1971, St. Joseph's continued its mission, transitioning to a co-educational system and expanding its impact on the community. Today, as part of the Lasallian family of Philippine district schools, it remains committed to its founder's vision, serving the children of poor families in Negros with dedication and pride.
