Not Your Average Upcycled Crafts

Imagine your tabletop lamp beside your bed, composed of your empty wine bottles cut perfectly and held together by pieces of bamboos or copper wires or industrial pipes and other scrap materials. Or your chandelier lighting up your living room, adorned by used Ginebra San Miguel bottles. Or different colors of wine bottles with LED lights, hanging from your ceiling dramatically lighting up your bedroom. Then you are told that these unique, sleek and contemporary lighting furniture and fixtures were made in a neighbourhood backyard while some were assembled by out-of-school youths in a supertyphoon-ravaged area in the Visayas.

Unique Is What Sets Us Apart

Vitrum Upcycled Bottles and Crafts produces these beautiful and contemporary tabletop lamps, chandeliers, candle holders and other lighting furniture and fixtures.

One of the special and distinct features of our products is that each design is unique because we create only one of each kind. We don’t create any duplicate.

The Vitrum Man

Designed and assembled by hand -- by our founder and solo artist, Ian Martinez Sarra with the support of his partner, Veo Lapitan Gutierrez -- all our products are made of used materials: from our empty wine bottles which we get from restaurants and bars, to copper wires and whatever useful material we could get from our neighborhood junkshops .

We manually cut our glasses. We also manually assemble each design.

The results are unique, durable and beautiful products. Junks magically transformed into something useful and elegant to light up your living rooms, bedrooms or any part of your homes.

Our Goal

Through the Spark Project's crowdfunding and with enough support from backers, our goal is to raise P60,000.00 to purchase LED bulbs (to light up our products), copper wires and other materials to produce and create more products in the future.

Should we exceed this goal, the money will be used for the launch and, if possible, exhibits of our creations in Metro Manila and Cebu to further create awareness of the uniqueness of Vitrum crafts. The remaining funds will be spent for the everyday needs for materials and other emergency purchases of our Cebu team.
